Entrepreneurship Development Cell

Country like India needs well educated, skilled & industry ready trained human resource in all technical areas in large number as required technical man power in all industry & service sector. But, a more required area is to transforming our young minds into successful entrepreneurs as job providers not job seekers. A perfect balance between job providers & job seekers leads to stable economy of the country. Keeping this entire in mind, department operates EDC for all the students to promote, motivate, facilitate, aware about entrepreneurship. Many events like “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” organized from last many years on the same line.

Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp

Department of E&I organized a 3 day “Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp” with more than 60 student participation from all branches. Few students in each department are very much interested to become job providers but not job seekers by becoming an “Entrepreneur”. This camp provide a platform at which related Govt. departments like DIC (District Industry Centre), MSME, Lead Bank, MPCON, Consultants & Successful Entrepreneurs’ available to inspire, motivate, guide & facilitate the all interested students to start their entrepreneurial venture. In last many years few students now become successful entrepreneur like Mr. Sajal Agarwal of EC dept., Mr. Kapil Goyal of EI Dept. & Mr. Rohit Ahirwar of CSE dept.

Industry Institute Partnership Cell

This is AICTE funded project for providing all types of support for transforming students into industry ready professionals, imparting technical skill training to students & industry staff, conducting industry visit & internship & sharing experiences and expertise of industry personals with students. This also facilitates students for their techno-entrepreneurial startup ideas/ ventures. Till now many students provided training & placement under MoU signed with technical training providers and through Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps.

IIPC Infrastructure

IIPC working with all required office setup including conference room, seminar hall, 30 PC training lab, LCD projectors including all office automation equipments.

Academic Activities

Every semester department invite experts from local & outside industries for sharing latest trends & technologies used in industries for enhancing student knowledge. Industrial visits are arranged for all semester students. Our students visited many industries like J K tyre, SRF Ltd., Surya Roshini Ltd., Railway Spring Karkhana, Uflex, Sanchi Milk & Heidelberg Cement.

Training Program Department of Electronics & Instrumentation organized two, three and twenty days evening training program on Introduction to MATLAB, LAB View Graphical Programming and on MATLAB toolboxes (Control System, Signal Processing, Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network) respectively for faculty members & students both. Participants get hands on training and exercise session in the EI department advance software lab. Participants were taught toolbox related command application with the help of related MATLAB / LABView program writing and their execution. Participant were very interested to use these tools for simulating the various subjects like “Network Theory”, “Signal & Systems”, “Industrial Electronics”, “Digital Signal Processing”, “Control Systems”, “Process & Digital Control” concepts in MATLAB / LAB View based technical programming & simulation environment.

  • Both the project works are held under the supervision of senior faculty members
  • The project may be sponsored or facilitated by the industry.

Interaction with the Industry

We believe that engineering education is incomplete without the support and collaboration of the industry. For this purpose, the department has developed strong linkages with the industry and renowned academic institutions. The interfacing with the industry helps the students in the following areas:

  • Industrial visits- wherein the students get an opportunity to see the real application of engineering
  • Expert lectures- The experts from various fields share their expertise and knowledge with the faculty and the students
  • Workshops on specific technologies- The students get a hand on experience in these workshops
  • Conferences & Symposiums- The students get an opportunity to explore their research potential
  • Institutional & Industrial Training- Interfacing with the industry opens up multidimensional avenues for the students
  • Value added Trainings: In-house value added trainings in niche areas like C/C++, JAVA, and Networking etc. are offered to students for developing their competence in specific areas that also gives them a competitive edge over others.
  • Placements- The department supports and coordinates with the Centralized Training & Placement Cell of CT group for all placement related activities viz. interview preparation, inviting the companies for the placement drives and conduct of the same.
  • For all the aforesaid purposes, students are actively involved. The students have been identified as student coordinators who are working together in order to meet these objectives. Besides, these activities also inculcates managerial & leadership qualities in the students. The student coordinators are well guided and supported by two faculty members of the department who have been identified as industrial coordinators.

Personality Development & Grooming of the students

The department emphasizes on personality development & grooming of the students in order to develop professional capabilities of the students. Regular Personality development programs are organized in the department in collaboration with professional organizations. Besides, motivational lectures, Group Discussions, Mock interview sessions etc. are also organized on a regular basis. The students also get an opportunity to improve their communication skills in the language lab of the institute.

Students Counseling

One faculty member has been identified as the class incharge for every class. His/her role is to guide the students for:

  • Academic excellence
  • Personality Development
  • Positive attitude
  • Good behavior
  • Discipline
  • Proper Dress & Uniform
  • Etiquettes & Manners
  • Motivation to students to actively participate in extra-curricular activities viz. sports, cultural activities etc.
  • To refrain the students not to indulge in ragging & other social evils

Student Achievement

Our faculty members focus and work on every student strength for further enhancement & on transforming each student’s weaknesses into strength through out the year by interacting, motivating & coordinative working with students from last many years.
